Hey! I’m Céleste and I’m super excited to be the LSA’s first VP Equity, Diversity & Inclusivity! Read more about me below:
-
What's my Role?
As an advocate for equity-seeking student groups and law students, I aim to make the Faculty of Law safe and inviting. I also take on an ombudsman role, resolving EDI-related issues affecting law students and/or Faculty members.
-
I had a negative EDI-related experience at law school. What can I do about it?
You can either contact me directly at lsaedi@ualberta.ca or make an anonymous report through this form: https://forms.gle/WY7PDx3LuPzTnnGe7

What EDI work is the LSA currently up to?
• Oppose hikes in law school tuition, which would disproportionately impact students with lower incomes.
• Create opportunities for law students to serve marginalized groups outside of law school.
• Improve the Foundations course to better encompass Indigenous law + navigating challenges/barriers in law school.
• Install a menstrual product dispenser in the Law Centre. -
